Fathers Building Futures
Large End Grain Up Cutting Board in Multiple Woods
Fathers Building Futures builds hand-crafted cutting boards that lend artisanal quality to your kitchen and food preparation. Our large end grain up cutting board offers superior durability and longevity. End grain up, often called “butcher block”, provides the strongest construction of cutting boards. Unlike traditional cutting boards that are “with the grain”, each end grain up cutting board has the grain facing upwards, which creates and even stronger, scar-resistant top. Chop, cube, and dice with confidence. Each cutting board is meticulously made by hand from locally-sourced, individually-chosen pieces of wood and 100% food-safe materials. Sturdy, thick, and completely original, it will not only look beautiful, but will be a lasting, functional addition to your kitchen or picnic basket. Treated well, you can enjoy the rich colors of seven different hardwoods for years to come. Show off your cutting board with one of our cutting board stands.
Our large end grain up cutting boards measure approximately 19” x 17” x 1.5”. Because each cutting board is handmade, minor variations in size, grain, texture, and color may occur. Note that each multiple wood cutting board we create will feature different woods, with different patterns, and will not be exactly as pictured.
If desired, we can add a drip line to any of our large cutting boards. There is an additional $25 for this service. Please indicate in the notes field during checkout if you would like to add this service.
